Iced Matcha Latte Recipe

So matcha is totally trending right now, and rightfully so. Chock-full of antioxidants, this super- concentrated form of green tea has cancer fighting and preventing capabilities, aids in fat burning, metabolic detoxification, and due to its high levels of L- Theanine, promotes calming sensations in the body. I tried my first cup of homemade matcha about a year ago and to say the least I was not hooked. But, after having a delicious iced matcha latte from a local co-op recently, I was determined to formulate my own creation that was just as good or better.

Here is what I came up with:

  • 1 cup Silk Organic Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 25cc scoop of Vital Proteins Vanilla Collagen Peptides
  • 1-2 tsp. local honey (optional or to taste)

Blend all ingredients in a bullet or blender and pour over ice. SO tasty.
